Leadership is both exhilarating and excruciating. It’s filled with the adrenaline rush of engaging in something bigger than yourself that fuels life long changes. Every project, organization, or team depends on effective leadership. It makes the difference.

But it’s also frequently lonely, difficult and stressful. There are tough choices to make and consequences to face. And sometimes we suddenly discover that we’re no longer doing the “thing” that energized us initially. We’ve become supervisors where we simply maintain the status quo and keep things running. We aren’t always understood, we become weary of dealing with people who don’t get it, and we’re too tired to muster up more vision.
